Meet MCPL

Julie Dina
Julie Dina began working with MCPL as a part-time Circulation staff person in 1997, while she was attending college. Once graduated, she left to work full-time with the United States Senate. Realizing that she loved and missed working at the library, Julie came back at the very first opportunity and began working with the Information staff as a part-time Library Associate. She recently accepted a full-time position as an Outreach Associate so that she could continue to spread the good news on resources and services provided by MCPL. Julie really enjoys spending time with her family, baking and attending events.

Yuk Bing Kam at the NewseumYuk Bing Kam is a Library Aide at the Chevy Chase branch. She has been working with MCPL for almost ten years, beginning as a page in 2006. Her favorite hobby is karate, not only as exercise, but as a volunteer karate teacher assistant for almost five years. She very much enjoys teaching kids. Yuk Bing says in order to be a good karate instructor, one’s appearance must be clean and tidy and patience and good communication skills are needed—most importantly, proper ethical behavior. In her spare time, she also plays the piano and loves to travel.
