Entrepreneurs listen to a speaker from the Maryland Small Business Development Center

Recently, budding local entrepreneurs (pictured, right) learned the "Nuts and Bolts of starting a Business" at a workshop offered at MCPL’s Silver Spring branch in partnership with the Maryland Small Business Development Center.

This was just one of a growing number of business programs being offered at MCPL. Providing small business support and connecting local businesses to government agencies are just two parts of the process to build a Vibrant Montgomery County, as envisioned by our new Strategic Plan.

Upcoming events of this type include:

Job and Career Assistance for Skilled Immigrants for immigrants who would like their international credentials recognized in the United States at the Silver Spring branch on November 17;
Another session of the Nuts and Bolts of Starting a Business for aspiring and new enrepreneurs at Long Branch library on December 13; and
On-going SCORE counseling and free sessions with a business development specialist.

We look forward to continuing to build our business and workforce development programs.
